Sharing is caring

Yesterday was a good day for the purse
There's a family who has been homeless for a long time, a young man and his mother along with his girlfriend and their baby. They've been through hard, hard times but they managed to find a rent man who would work with them and they're in a house!

Yesterday we were able to get their utilities turned on and to put $30 bucks on their power track, this cost 203 bucks.

We were also able to help a man pay his rent, this was $60.

Goodness! Btw the purse is cleaned out, so feel free to give if you feel like you should.

bad news, good news

So sadly 70 bucks of purse money got stolen, it was going to buy some professional work clothes for a friend whom is a very trusted and good friend of our community, but someone stole it from a bag it was in at this person's work. Sorry to those who donated!

But good news, we used 16.23 to buy an oscillating fan for a lady to make the rest of the summer a little bit easier on her. We used 9 bucks to buy some Tylenol PMs for a friend with a hurt back.

Now we have 263 bucks in the purse.

God bless and peace

Clothes

So we spent $114 bucks on several sets of work clothes for a friend who just got a job that she needed to dress professionally for. This was before the last post, I just forgot to put it on here. We have a little over $300 in the purse right now.

a couple things

So a couple days ago we were able to buy 14.25 worth of groceries for a man who sleeps outside and spends much of his time in College Station.

Today we were able to help a man along the path to getting his ID all together by sharing 20 bucks with him to help him get his birth certificate.

migration money, bike, phone

So yesterday a good potluck friend of ours left town, he's experiencing major health problems and wanted to go up north where he thinks he'll be able to get better medical treatment outside of the confederate states, as he puts it.

We shared 40 bucks with him to help him along his way with whatever traveling expenses.

He left a bike and a track phone, so if you know of somebody who needs a phone let me know, I think Jerry's getting the bike which leaves us with one we can fix up for pretty cheap and give away; if you're interested in getting a bike rigged up to give away to somebody in need let me know and we'll see what we can do.
